W.E.B - Where Everybody Belongs

Are you a good friend?  Are you a positive role model for others?  Are you interested in making Beattie a better place to be?  WEB stands for “Where Everybody Belongs.”  It is a transition program designed to help 6th graders adjust to life in middle school.  Selected 7th and 8th graders will participate in the WEB Leader training to become WEB Leaders and will then serve as mentors for 6th graders throughout the school year. 

With intentional and structured lessons on leadership, interpersonal skills, public speaking, group management, and more, WEB Leaders gain the skills and confidence necessary to truly lead their younger peers and represent their school well.

What does WEB do?

• Participates in leader training during summer and throughout the school year

• Leads 6^th grade Orientation before school begins

• Hosts 6^th grade socials and events

• Leads Academic Follow-Up Lessons in 6th grade classrooms

Leader Requirements:  

• Maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher

• Be a good citizen and role model at school by being responsible, respectful, and safe 

• Participate in WEB events and socials
