Instrumental Ensembles

 

The instrumental ensembles offered at Beattie Middle School are an integral part of a comprehensive performing arts department made up of instrumental, vocal, and theater arts classes.  The instrumental ensembles available at Beattie are:

Orchestra – this group is made up of all string players regardless of grade level or ability

Concert Band – this group is primarily a 6^th grade band but will on occasion have a few 7^th and 8^th grade beginning/intermediate players

Symphonic Band – this group is made up of our advanced 7^th and 8^th grade players

Jazz Band – this group is open to 7^th and 8^th grade wind and rhythm players and is by audition only.  Auditions are held each April for the following year’s group
