Mission Statement

The staff and parents of Beattie Middle School are committed to providing students with a well-rounded program that offers the maximum opportunity to build self-esteem, regard for others, and personal and social responsibility. Concurrently, students will develop skills and knowledge necessary to be contributing members of society.

TESTING – TESTING – TESTING

The SMARTER Balanced Field Test will be administered to students in the RUSD and in California grades 3 – 8 and 11th grade.  This is an opportunity for the State to “Test the Test”.  It also allows educators, students and administrators the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the online testing system.  No scores will be generated from this field test.

Beattie’s field test dates will be:
7th grade:   April 28th – May 2nd
8th grade:   May 5th – 9th (Science, CST)
6th grade:   May 12th – 16th

Chain Links Quote of the Week:

If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you must develop the habit in little matters. Completing each task, however minute or seemingly unimportant to the big task, to its fullest and with the your best effort each day will lead to excellence in the big projects.  Excellence is achieved through commitment to EACH task.

Bus Parking Area
At the end of the day, this area is off limits to all private vehicle traffic.  Our buses must have a clear path to enter, load students and exit.  As you head south on Orange Street into our front parking lot, please do not block the bus entry driveway.  We thank you for your attention to this traffic flow concern.

Front Parking Lot
As you all know, this is a very busy area.  Everyone dropping off or picking-up students must drive very cautiously.  Please remind your student to enter and exit your vehicle carefully.  They should not dart across the flow of traffic.  They should make sure that all drivers see them before crossing to the front gate or exiting campus to your vehicle.  And finally, we ask that all drivers exhibit a high level of patience.  The safety of your student and all the students who attend Beattie is key.
